About LayoverDB

LayoverDB exists because layover advice on the internet is either forum folklore or SEO filler. We do something narrower: take what airports and governments officially publish — terminal maps, transfer times, facility locations, entry rules — and turn it into a decision you can act on.

Two questions drive every page:

1. Will you make the connection? The layover checker combines verified transfer times with the security and immigration buffers that apply to your itinerary.
2. What can you reach? A shower 40 minutes away in another terminal, landside, behind immigration is not usable on a 90-minute connection. Every facility is marked reachable, possibly reachable, not reachable or unknown.

The editorial rule is UNKNOWN > WRONG. If an official source does not document something, we show Unknown — never an educated guess dressed up as data.

LayoverDB is static and open source: the dataset lives in a public git repository, every fact carries its source URL and a last-verified date, and the methodology explains how records are added.
